Crowders Mountain has a few accesses to it. I went to the two day side ones thinking it was going to take me to a main location. Yet they didn't but I know once my ankle is one hundred percent I will be able to do a hike again. I was able to find a small lake ( my mother called it a glorified pond) that had trails around it. I also saw several trails and signs to other nature sights but was not ideal for this time around.
Crowders Mountain State Park is located on 522 Park Office Lane; Kings Mountain, North Carolina. Their hours vary with the months so please check out their website.

Main attraction is hiking, camping, rock climbing and museum exhibits. Although I did not do too much I did go to the small lake and walk around it.
A view of the mountain as coming up to it
Driving around town and seeing it.
Fallen leaf. Did I tell you how much I love texture? I even had a friend label me the texture queen. It kind of stuck. I am proud of that label.
Ordinary feet trampling items but I find fascination in them.
What can I say but just look a the lines.
Water view from pathway.
Up close of ripples and sunshine alongside of reflections and nature. It makes me smile.
Broad view just across the way of the lake.
A view off the ramp where you can take a canoe or kayak and push off. Enjoying the scenery completely in quiet.
A Blue Crane enjoying water.
Video of the crane enjoy itself.
Canopies of leaves and I see the start of colors changing.
Down below just as I was turning around. A glimmer caught my eye, a feather.
I wouldn't be me without a picture of flowers that people call weeds.
The ultimate best "weed" out there: the Marguerite daisy. Simple yet my absolute favorite. I was so giddy when I saw it. I just hoped for more rain. No need to pick it. I savor it through a photo.
Then on the way back to the car I located a few other little flowers but I couldn't get a good shot. SO the memory remains. Kindness in nature.
If you wish to know more please refer to their website and don't hesitate to ask questions.
Until next time.
This is a ginger walking. Hoping for daisy finds. (This time I found a few)
Mary
