I used to walk here almost every day about four years ago. Then they did some sort of "remodel" on the park area I walked in and I just never really got a chance to come back.
So yesterday June 4th, 2017 I went back for the first time. I saw so many changes in the way they made the park look. Not all was good but they had to make changes. And changes are always productive one way or another.
Still I was grateful when I crossed the bridge to go to the pond that a small amount of changes occurred there. The pond was still grand and the geese were still noisy. The only significant change I saw once I got over the walking bridge was down to the right they added a small covered area for either resting or eating.
Onward down toward the pond I am greeted by the clouds reflecting off the water, the molting feathers of goslings and butterflies dancing along the walkway with me. First the water, still pretty wherever you find a spot to sit. The feathers everywhere, on the walkway and in the water. The butterflies - green, black and blue as well as black with bits of details. I have a few pictures.

Small green butterfly
Then I get around to the corner of the pond and I distinctly recall a water area with observation decks but I see just the watery graves of the observation decks. They are submerged and cut off from walkway. So that has changed but I find beauty along this small track of area.
first submerged observation deck
stilts in the water used to be a walkway, I was told.. back in earlier days.
So coming back around the pond my eyes were dripping sweat and I was by that time "blind" photographing. Not sure if clarity or distinct color would come about but I did get a few good views of the pond.
near area coming back toward pond.
Amazing color and clarity. Clouds and greenery.
Relaxing moment.
The rest of the photos are just from part of the experience
Come sit and soak in the sun with me.
Molting feathers. One feather flew on top of another.
Dandelion before it got further crushing
flowers as I was leaving. Didn't see the bug walking away until I got home.
McAlpine Creek Greenway has made some changes good and bad but still there is joy and beauty to behold there. Also located here are a diamond field and a doggie park.
So until next time.
A ginger walking. Hoping for daisy finds.
