So far I have just enjoyed relaxing at a friend's house. Sleeping and lounging. Part of the time here has been just talking about all the good times in the past and the silly stuff and the other part has just been enjoying the silence.
A bit of refreshing peace that makes me see that social media can be contained to one or two views on instagram or to send a message to a friend in another place and time. A bit of a slow down. Granted where my friend is, isn't any of that but to get away from my hectic life and just absorb myself into her house. Bliss.
Forgetting about the disappointment of guy friends and the rambling nonsense from the boot I am wearing to get around. Grounded in a way from doing too much fun. I am reminded that family and friends of long ago is the seed of contentment. The finding place you can hold yourself and reflex who you need to become.
So tonight, being here for 2 days, we decided to just run and get some drawing pads but ended up riding all around Charleston and getting some good simple photos of the Charleston Harbor, the ocean and the Colonial Lake nearby.
Simple times. Laughing and enjoying the breeze alongside of the flashes of lightning and sprinkles of rain. This outweighs this blah of disappointing friends. This emotional roller coaster of realizing promises mean nothing to some.
So I took pictures of the water to forget I was ever important to any one person. Its nice to remember I can be me and not have to worry about pleasing anyone. Surprisingly just how distant I can be to those who thought they knew me in my home place.
The water and chatter with family made me forget that some people just are NOT capable of saying anything real. (enough about my issues) Enjoy the view I had tonight.
The water was really chopping in the Charleston Harbor and it was pretty high too.
First, initially saw this boat passing as we were heading to the corner of the harbor where the Atlantic Ocean actually begins. But we came back around to see it pass. This is pretty awesome shot considering I was riding in a car that was not slowing down for these photos.
Sailboat in motion. Sails are in focus but the sidewalk and part of the water is blurry.
Saw plenty of houses I wanted to photograph at a later date, even maybe a later season.
Then we traveled through town and got to this lake. One my friend and I keep forgetting exists.
Colonial Lake in Charleston. Just a hint of a view.
Full view from back to mid and down to the beginning.
This is near the front or top of the lake. Has greenery and wide sidewalks. It is nice to walk around but the rain was starting to become more like a steady drizzle so we hurried along.
Got back to the house and was just completely fazed out of the situation prior. Shockingly I was not surprised but still it hurts.
And now. Here it is 1:30am and I am just settling for the night. I had to express and give some signs that I am still wanting to give a review of the area as well as show people points of interest wherever I go.
So until next time.
This is a ginger walking. Hoping for daisy finds.
